One question a lot people- teachers, parents and administrators- ask me is "How do they take assessments in a classroom like this?"
My answer- "Exactly the same way!"
They choose a spot that supports their focus at that time- and we set up dividers or move/turn them as needed for privacy and security.
Allowing students be under tables, on the floor, or in a basket, helps me spread them out more and provides even more natural barrier for any wandering eyes.
Additionally, the focus students show when they have the opportunity to move or sit in a way that enhances their focus will really blow your mind!
